Handyman special? This has been a GREAT car for us for nine years, able to take us everywhere safely and comfortably. It's a hybrid, gets great mpg, has AWD, the A/C and heater are champions, and it drives like a car. It also has a Thule roof rack. HERE'S THE THING, THOUGH: It is showing a check engine light. We took it into the shop and they think it's the battery (the big hybrid car battery). The car runs great, though, and the battery seems to be doing it's thing, charging while braking and assisting when starting from a stop.

AND HERE'STHE OTHER THING: My wife has had half a dozen incidents over the past year where the car dash display said, "pull over safely" and the car stopped going. For some reason this has happened to me only once, but all other times I've driven it, including today, it ran like a top. Because of this, we can't ask for the five or six thousand dollars the car should be worth, and it should probably go to someone who knows about cars and can figure out what the issue is. We are asking $2,500 OBO.
