2011 Kia Sportage SX Turbo — Good Condition / Needs Engine — $1,800 OBO

Selling my 2011 Kia Sportage as-is. This has been a well-taken care of vehicle and is in good overall condition, but it is not currently drivable and will need an engine replacement.

The vehicle broke down in Ogden and is currently at a Kia dealership in Riverdale, Utah. The dealership diagnosed the engine with very low/no compression and advised that it needs engine replacement.

Dealer-reported diagnosis:

Cranks but does not start
Compression test: 0 psi on cylinders 1 and 3, 30 psi on cylinders 2 and 4
Oil found in cylinders
Cylinder wall scoring
Leak-down test showed leakage past the piston rings
Dealer-recommended engine replacement

Other than the engine issue, the vehicle has been maintained, taken care of, and is in good condition for its age and mileage. It has around 210k miles.

This would be a good option for a mechanic, engine swap, parts vehicle, or someone familiar with Kia/Hyundai engines.

Buyer is responsible for pickup/tow from the Kia dealership in Riverdale. Selling as-is.
