It’s time for me to part ways with this fun rig, and pass it on to someone else. I am in need of a more practical vehicle for hauling them kids around. Although this van has taken us on some pretty rad camping trips. It’s powered by a self heating, Bluetooth Renogy 200ah pro battery which is charged by 2 100w Renogy solar panels. It also has a Renogy 2000w inverter so you can crank up an air fryer and let it do the cooking. I also upgraded the charge controller to a Victron 100v 50a mppt. Which you can easily monitor through an app what the solar panels are doing. It’s got a maxxair fan going through the roof to suck out the hot air or pull in the cooler air. But the crème de la crème is the Espar air S3 B2L airtronic gasoline heater. This is no cheap chinese diesel heater! This sucker cranks out some heat too, I’ve never been cold since I installed it. You also don’t have to worry about toting around a can of gas since I plugged it into the vans gas tank so it pulls gas straight from the giant gas tank. And to keep all the heat in the van I *mostly insulated the walls with 3M insulation and reflectix. I didn’t get around to finishing up the small wall. The windows in the back have some insulated privacy covers the work really well. The bed is a full sized Amazon memory foam mattress.
The van itself has the 4.8l V8 with 147,000 miles. Original engine and transmission, shifts buttery smooth and runs like it should only issue is a crack in the windshield.
