****EDIT for FAQs: This is a 44 year old Subaru. While it is in good shape for what it is, its still a 44 year old Subaru. It runs, drives, shifts, brakes, and does everything else like a 44 year old Subaru. It has heat, but no A/C. It will drive freeway speeds, but is not geared for modern freeway speeds… so I wouldn't recommend regular use over 65mph. If you are unfamiliar with old Subarus and what to expect from them, this might not be the right car for you. See additional details below.
-1982 Subaru GL 1800 4WD 4spd wagon
-134,150 miles
-Runs strong, shifts well, drives straight, 4WD is solid, and plenty of character
-Weber Carb, LED headlights, Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth
-Clutch, clutch cable, suspension, brakes, and CVs all replaced within 10-12k miles.
-Cons:
•Cyclops light works but the cover doesn't open on its own anymore.
•The coolant temp gauge reads intermittently.
•Throttle sticks intermittently when decelerating, just for a split second and releases. I've become used to it, but it may be a little jarring for those not comfortable driving a manual. Carb cleaner on the throttle body takes care of it for awhile.
•Some missing trim pieces (see pics).
•Scratches and dents from sharing a garage with kid handled bikes for the past 7 years.
•Mismatched hood, replaced after being backed into in a parking lot by a lifted truck with a hitch.
-Typical early 80s Subaru issues, including worn upholstery, cracked dash, rusty door panels (see pics), and slow oil leak (slow enough that it never needs to be topped off, it will just add a drop here and there while parked).
-Unibody is clean, no rust issues
-Starting to show its age physically, but is mechanically sound and handles in snow like a champ.
-No trades, cash only, SOLD AS IS
