We’re doing more and more boondocking, so are reluctantly selling our 2002 Winnebago Rialta HD.
The 22HD is the most popular layout for this class B motorhome. It’s great for 2 people and with less than 50,000 miles and a very manageable size, is a nimble, versatile, and reliable adventure machine.
The compact layout features a functional kitchenette with microwave, stove, and oven, generous refrigerator, convenient closet and drawer storage, a 4 person dinette that transforms into a 2 person bed, and a bathroom with toilet, sink, and a convertible shower.
It seats 7 with 2 captain’s chairs up front, one captain’s chair across from the kitchen, and benches for 4 in the back. There is a folding desk with convenient power at the interior captain’s chair.
2 ACs, one integrated into the driver’s cabin, the other roof mounted, provide plenty of flexibility and capacity to keep cool. The front AC compressor is brand new and the rear works perfectly.
In the winter, good insulation and heat powered by an on board propane tank keep everything cozy.
12V power is supplied by 2 brand new 100Ah batteries, and the cab has a brand new alternator and starter battery. For when you don’t have shore power and need 120V, the generator starts readily and runs ok, but the carburetor should be cleaned and rebuilt.
We cruise at between 70 & 80 mph and have get up to 19 mph. The engine isn’t overpowered, but it is robust and proven. Driving is super easy; it drives more like a van than an RV.
Misc details: tires in excellent shape with over 75% tread, large screen head unit with wireless CarPlay and Android auto. USB ports in the dash. Rebuilt air mixer box (a common issue on Rialtas) All equipment works properly and there are no engine error codes. A VW/Audi specific code reader is included. All original documentation is included.
The water system has recently been checked for leaks and I just overhauled all the waste water valves. An upgraded dump hose, extra long water hose, & wheel chocks are included, but not leveling blocks.
It currently has a foam mattress topper, which I will include for free as an option.
This Rialta has been well cared for and was taken on a weeklong boondocking trip in May, so I’m confident that everything works as it should.
