I bought this project in the process of being restored. It was originally a long fleet side, but the frame has been professionally shortened and reinforced. It was sandblasted but now has some surface rust. I have C notches to lower the rear of the vehicle by about 4” and brand new 2” dropped spindles with new springs, shocks and shock relocation mounts.
I have boxes of new parts for it. It comes with a brand-new Vintage Air Heating and A/C system for the C10 ($2,000). A new billet dash comes with some new gauges. It has a brand-new complete wiring harness.
The covered trailer in the photos is from a long bed C10 and it has the 12-bolt differential that I intended to install on this one. There are two sets of tires and wheels. One set are original 15” Chevy rim with BF Goodrich TA radial tires and the other is a set of chrome Eagle alloy spoke wheels with tires. Comes with new chrome lugnuts.
The step side bed is probably the best of 4-5 that I have owned. Very straight. No cutouts in either fender, very minor rust to repair. Comes with 2 tailgates and one is almost flawless.
The hood and fenders have had quite a bit of body work done already and will need to fleet side molding holes and mirror holes filled.
Have two brand new white painted bumpers for front and rear. Prior owner has a custom one-piece Oak floor made for the step side bed. It also comes with the new bed strips.
Two brand new adjustable Panhard bars and included and the trailer also has an original one.
Purchased two 1987 saddle tanks that I planned to use to replace the cab tank. Planned to route the filler neck through the fenders. Believe each are 15-18 gallons with all fittings.
Grille is from a 1960 C10 that was in mint condition. Had it powder coated in hammered silver vein, as shown. Has LED bulbs with the new correct wiring harness. ($1200)
Believe all the major parts are there to build a great PU. The rocker panels and cab corners are not rusted out, like most. The front fenders need the lower sections replaced. The inner fenders need sandblasted but are not rusted out as they normally are. Had some rust on the floor pans but have new ones for replacement.
Comes with 2 radiators. One original one that has been re-cored and is in excellent condition and the other is a brand-new aluminum radiator with electric fan.
It appears this truck had the original 4 speed manual, but the steering column was from an automatic, so it could go either way. I have the Bell Housing, flywheel, 11” pressure plate and clutch and intended to install a Muncie 4 speed transmission in the PU. I also like using the pre computer 700R4 automatics in these trucks.
Truck with all accessories and parts $9,750.
Literally thousands of dollars of brand-new parts come with this restoration project. If you buy it, come with 3-4 guys to load parts and frame. Trailer is towable. Would all fit in an enclosed car trailer.
At this point you can build this 66 C10 exactly as you desire. These are very popular trucks and are only getting harder to find. I have some cool badges I will include like a pair of Apache 10 side emblems. This still has the original stainless-steel molding around the front window, and I have the chrome insert for the rear window along with some new rubber moldings.
My plans were to install the $400 CPP disc brake conversion in front. It is currently 6 lug all around.
Priced with everything listed.
Have a freshly rebuilt 350 SBC engine out of a 1969 El Camino. It was built by a professional mechanic in Idaho Falls. Engine and some transmission parts can be purchased separately for $4,500. Can send photos and specs if interested
