The Good:

• Original car

• All interior and exterior lights work

• Fuel injected w/new fuel pumps

• Great soft-top (in black) with no tears

• White top cover for when it's down

• Good glass with no chips or cracks

• Original badges and trim still in place

• Interior in pretty good condition - seats, carpets, and plastic bits

• 5-speed transmission shifts smoothly

• Nearly all lights switched out to LED bulbs

• Radio (with cassette player) works

• Original wheels and new tires

• Locking gas cap

• Newly rebuilt alternator, fuel distributor, and warm-up regulator

• New spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and battery

• New CV axles and boots

The Bad:

In trying to be as honest and transparent as possible, here are the bad points:

• Air conditioner doesn't turn on

• Loose connection in the heater lever and doesn't adjust properly

• Locking gas cap isn't original (we have the original, just without a key)

• Filling up with gas is painfully slow (pump constantly clicks off)

• Driver's carpet is worn down to threads in some areas

• Passenger seat upholstery has a spilled coffee stain

• True mileage unknown - it shows 650k plus (but ticks over properly) and I believe it was accidentally mis-adjusted by the previous owner from 65,000 (Carfax notes the odometer discrepancy)

• Engine has an oil drip

• Passenger seat rake adjustment knob is stripped

• A little bit cold-blooded (takes a few starts to get going in the winter after it's been sitting)

• Fuel pump buzzes occasionally

Overall a fun car for a loving enthusiast. It could use some extra attention to keep it in tip top shape, but has generally been reliable as a top-down, unrestored grocery getter that’s over 35 years old.
