2003 Chevy Suburban LT 4x4 - Lifted, Nitto Tires, New Parts
239k miles, with many more to go!
Selling my beloved 2003 Chevy Suburban 4x4. The engine and transmission run beautifully and it has been incredibly reliable on long road trips. It does have a rear main seal oil leak, common with this model. I have just been topping off the oil and driving it as-is, but it is time for it to go to a new home.
This is a super fun vehicle to drive on and off road and is still great for long trips!
Just had a new battery and refurbished starter just installed, fires right up and drives great!
The Good (Lots of New & Aftermarket Parts):
*Premium Nitto Terra Grappler off-road tires with great tread remaining
*Lifted suspension with an aggressive off-road stance
*Brand new battery
*New refurbished starter (mechanic says the starter has a lifetime warranty that can apply to the new owner)
*New radiator (1 year old)
*New alternator (1 year old)
*Premium Bose audio system with working TV and DVD player. Sounds amazing! Includes original remote control and two wireless headsets (we didn't use the headsets much, but they worked when we did).
*Clean leather interior.
*Nice aftermarket muffler with a great rumble
*Solid 4x4, strong engine, smooth transmission
*Tow package
*Roof rack
*Easily seats 8 with plenty of luggage space
*Laying down seats and removing 3rd row gives enough space to transport a full sofa!
The Bad:
*Rear main seal oil leak. Labor cost to fix it hasn't been worth it to me, so I just add oil as needed.
*Turning blinkers work, but pause briefly when the brake pedal is applied. Brief research sounds like it might just need new bulbs, since the brake and signal lights use the same filament.
*Steering column controls (cruise control and steering wheel volume) are currently not working (likely a fuse or clockspring, I haven't looked into it much)
*Two very minor low-speed bumps in 2025 resulting in minimal cosmetic damage (hardly noticeable in photos - back passenger side panel behind rear wheel and front passenger side bumper)
This is the ultimate budget off-road rig, farm truck, or vehicle for someone looking for a great lift kit, expensive tires, and premium sound system. My kid has been driving it to school and just loves it.
Clean title in hand.
Cash or Venmo. Could also take a check, if we meet at a bank and cash it in person.
