Manual/stick shift. The car looks great considering it is nearly 30 years old. It belonged to my father in-law, who bought it brand new and treated it very gently, before it passed to me. The last 110k miles have been on the highway with regular oil changes. The car's problem is that its computer no longer properly processes signals from the MAF sensor; the car runs better with the sensor unplugged. Additionally, you have to know the secret sequence to get the car to actually start. That plus the stick shift make for a nice theft deterrent.
On the highway, I've gotten an average of 37-40 mpg. It doesn't have as much power as it used to, but it can get up to speed and handles well.
Cosmetically, there are 2 dents in the hood (pictured) from 2 occasions where I hit deer. There is no internal damage from these and the car has never hit another car. The plastic temperature knob for climate control also snapped off and the rubber covers for the brake and clutch pedals are loose.
The power windows function perfectly, the AC actually cools (but works best at highway speed) and it has cruise control (a luxury when the car was manufactured). The tires have a good amount of life left in them. The original jack and spare tire are still there and functional.
The MAF sensor issue means that the CEL is always on/flashing and the car won't pass emissions inspections. So if you live in a county that has those, you can use the car as a project/parts car. Otherwise, this is a great little car that has gotten me the equivalent distance of 6 trips around the globe or halfway to the Moon.
