This 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle was purchased in 2018 and was restored over the next two years. We spend $17,000 dollars replacing everything that could be replaced.
My wife drove it to work for 3 years, but since her retirement, it mostly sits in the garage.
Finished in Turquoise over gray and white vinyl, the car is powered by an air-cooled 1.6L flat-four which was factory rated at 46 horsepower and 72 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a single downdraft carburetor, drum brakes, 15″ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, crank windows, and a Bluetooth-capable stereo.
Exterior details include chrome headlight visors, bright trim, quarter vent windows, a driver-side mirror, a louvered decklid, and chrome bumpers.
In April of this year, we had the Engine completely rebuilt by Jimmy's Love bug in Provo ($3,500). At the same time, they added a new fuel pump and a new battery. The tires were replaced in June of this year.
If you’re searching for a Beetle that blends vintage style and nostalgic charm, this German classic is an excellent choice. A fun and iconic car that’s ready to be enjoyed and is mechanically sound.
Vehicle has a clean Utah title.
