For sale 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Limited:
This car has been my daily driver and runs good. It is a pleasure to drive and has been very reliable.
I have done plenty of maintenance to it. I just replaced both valve cover gaskets and and spark plugs on 6/4/2026. It does not leak oil.
The serpentine belt was replaced last year. The timing belt was replaced at just over 125000 miles.
Even though it runs good, it does have it's share of quirks seeing how it is over 20 yrs old. The quirks include a oxygen sensor service engine light on the dash, the traction control lights both come on the dash which could be a fuse. The antenna does not go up, the rear door at the back of the vehicle lock is frozen and so it does not open. The power steering makes a little squeak sometimes when turning the steering wheel but I took it to the mechanic and they inspected it and did not see anything. One of the pulleys squeaks a little every once in awhile but the belts and pulleys were replaced recently so maybe the mechanic tightened the serpentine belt too much. The rear tires are just slightly out of alignment because one of the bolt mechanisms to align the tires has has rusted right making the alignment not possible but the mechanic said it's fine but the tires wear out a little faster on the back of the vehicle.
I've enjoyed this vehicle and recommend it for someone who wants a reliable vehicle for around town or a light off road weekend vehicle.
Feel free to contact me if you want to come and see it and take it for a test drive.
