It's going to be sad to see it go but we are looking to sell our immaculate condition 2008 BMW E60 M5 (nicknamed Polar Bear). It’s an absolute unicorn for BMW purists and modern classic collectors and hope to find a new owner interested in preserving this never to be repeated piece of automotive history from BMW.

Our M5 features the legendary, naturally aspirated 5.0L V10 S85 engine, with 500 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque and a redline of 8,250 rpm. The S85 comes from a period when BMW engines provided a true visceral and auditory experience unlike today’s sound system augmented engines. Our M5 only has 35,900 miles from new and low mileage examples in original condition are getting very thin on the ground. We’ve owned and maintained ours since 2012 in the condition shown.

We originally bought it knowing this would be BMW’s only V10 engine and wanted to preserve it in as best condition as possible. Our vehicle has never been a daily driver and is strictly a hobby/weekend only vehicle. It has never been driven in the rain, snow, during cold temperatures or any other type of inclement weather.

Our M5 is finished in striking Alpine White (Alpinweiss) over a black leather interior, and looks, feels, and drives like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The 2008 model is the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) version which includes revised interior, iDrive system and upgraded exterior lighting. Ours has a pristine set of factory OEM 166M style wheels in a staggered arrangement with 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear 10 spoke alloys. All wheels are 100% free of curb damage and scratches and include upgraded lightweight Titanium lug bolts. Tires currently fitted are BMW specific (*) star symbol Michelin Pilot Sport high performance summer tires.

Our M5 has been kept in a heated garage during our stewardship, and both the exterior paint and interior are in excellent condition. Our vehicle features the 7 speed SMG III transmission with programable M performance settings which can be tuned to suit your driving style.

Everything is in perfect working condition with no mechanical or electrical issues. For all servicing we have only used BMW OEM parts, filters and fluids meeting or exceeding manufacturer specifications.
