This is my father's clean one-owner 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 work truck. He bought it new from Young Chevrolet and has used it as a work truck ever since. It has been a great truck, he just doesn't use it anymore and is cleaning out the garage.
This is a 2wd model. He went with 2wd so the truck would be lower to the ground to access his tools and the bed easier. This comes with the shell and his custom toolbox in the back. The shell can hold pipes, ladders, etc. on top. He built a custom toolbox for the bed to store all his tools. There are two drawers and one spot for a standard 6' ladder. There are also hooks on the inside of the shell for extension cords or rope.
Here are the good and the bad with it that I know about. He just had it tuned up at our local mechanic last week. I believe they replaced all the spark plugs, wires and coil. It just passes emissions and was registered last week as well, the sticker still hasn't gotten here. I installed a new battery about a month ago. I also replaced the shocks a few years ago, which was probably only a couple hundred miles as he only drives it about 100 miles a year. We also have a set of new wiper blades that I haven't put on yet.
Now for the bad. There's not much to say here. There are a few dents and scratches, but nothing major, especially for it being 23 years old and a work truck. The steering wheel cover was torn so my dad taped it on with electrical tape. The center console lid is also broken, but stays closed well.
