Selling my 1988 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4. It has just over 99,000 miles and runs and drives well. This isn’t a show truck, and the exterior definitely isn’t winning any beauty contests, but it’s a solid, mostly original Bronco that still has a lot of life left in it.
I’ve put quite a bit of maintenance into it since I’ve owned it, including:
New oil pump
New Brake Booster
Front brakes: rotors, pads, and calipers
Rear brakes: drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, and rear brake lines
Transmission service: new filter, gasket, and fresh fluid
New spark plugs and wires
New fuel filter
New inline high-pressure fuel pump
New EGR tube
New plenum gaskets
New ignition actuator
New ignition switch
New ignition lock cylinder
Radiator was replaced
The tires are all fairly new with plenty of tread left. They may be due for a rotation, but overall they’re in great shape.
To be completely upfront, the Bronco does have a few issues:
The replacement radiator developed a small crack and has a slight coolant leak. The radiator is still under warranty; I just haven’t had the time to deal with it.
It has a small oil leak.
The paint is rough, faded, and peeling in several places.
There is some rust starting around the rear wheel arches.
That said, it starts, runs, drives, stops, and has been a dependable truck for me.
I’ve been told I’m the fourth owner, and that the mileage is original and truly under 100,000 miles. The truck did sit for a period of time before I owned it, which is why I’ve spent time replacing a lot of age-related components.
It will come with:
Two complete sets of keys
One brand-new spare key
Information on several affordable online parts suppliers that I’ve used for Bronco parts
The only reason I’m selling it is because I don’t really have the time or extra money to continue working on a project truck.
Asking $9,000 OBO. Not interested in trades at this time. Feel free to message me with questions or to come take a look.
