Mechanic’s special. Starts right up and drives, motor’s got plenty of life. Oil done every 5K with full synthetic.

Recently done:

Radiator (6 yrs ago)

Radiator fans (this year)

Water pump/thermostat(4 yrs ago)

New oil pump o-ring (this year)

Good tires all around

What it needs:

•AC Compressor.

•Runs warm in stop-and-go when it’s over ~95° out. Getting up to speed cools it back down a good bit, though in real heat it won’t quite drop all the way to baseline. Never been past 3/4 on the gauge. No smoke, no smell, no leaks. Maybe cooling-system item?

•Slight idle dip when fully heat-soaked, sags and recovers on its own while you’re sitting there, like your dad falling asleep at church. No stall, no check engine light.

•Engages a little hard from a stop if you get on it, slight hesitation, then it grabs. Baby it off the line and it’s smooth. Intermittent, not constant. More like harsh engagement, not slipping, RPMs and speed climb together.

•No windshield washer reservoir

•Outside temp gauge needs replacing

Radio works, though. So does the rear entertainment system.

None of this has ever left me stranded, weekend-project stuff for a handy buyer, not a tow-truck situation. Interior and exterior has wear and tear about what you’d expect from a car this age, drives down the road like it should.
