1989 Toyota 4Runner, 22RE, 5 speed manual transmission, 4wd. Front bumper with 12k winch. 2 lightbars are installed but not wired. Odometer shows 222k miles, unsure if that is the actual mileage.
Lots of new parts:
Timing chain, front cover, upgraded oil pump, harmonic balancer, starter, Bilstein shocks, clutch and rear main seal all recently installed. All new OEM Toyota coolant hoses, heater core valve, and actuating rod. Fresh oil change, new coolant, brakes bled. New red line oil in differentials, transfer case, and transmission. Battery is a couple of months old. New battery cables for the starter, grounds, and winch. Spartan locker is installed in the rear differential.
The bracket is installed for AC/ air compressor. I have a York air compressor and brackets to install on board air if desired.
Goodyear Duratrac 265/75R16 tires with lots of tread, aluminum rims.
Things it needs:
As seen in the pictures, the body and interior are in rough shape; you won’t need to worry about getting scratches or dents. Some rust around the rear wheel wells as well as some rust below the back windows. The rear glass doesn’t go down. The heater valve needs to be connected to the actuating rod. I’ve noticed a couple of drips of oil from the back of the motor after driving it; I’m guessing it’s residual grease from the clutch install but it could be the rear main seal or cover.
I haven’t driven it much since I got all of the work done on it. I planned on keeping it but I found a 2nd gen I want more.
