Mechanics special! Have owned this Subaru for over a decade and it’s been a great car. It started overheating and although it does it intermittently, we need to pass this on to somebody else who either wants it for parts or can fix it. Replaced the thermostat and mechanic said it’s not the water pump. Could be a bubble in the system or something way more serious. There’s also a whine that could be coming from the transmission. Noticed it’s not as responsive in lower gears as it used to be. Tires are okay. Deck/radio doesnt work. AC is good. Heat good. Probably small oil and coolant leaks typical for a 18 year old car.
