2012 Tacoma
Pros:
-Only 166k miles with lots of life still left (ran my last 4Runner to 347k miles)
-6ft bed
-Camper shell
-New BFGoodrich tires with less than 7k miles on them
-Custom fit floor mats
-Backup camera
-LED interior lights
-Oil change and filter replacement every 3k miles (since I’ve had it of course).
-Fixed lower control arm and center support bearing
-recently did an undercoating on the frame to protect against rust
-put new headlights
-new aftermarket grille
Only issue is one or two tire pressure sensors are out making the light pop up on the dash (but tires are new and hold pressure just fine)
And the horn doesn’t work (looks like the wires got detached somewhere)
I bought this one as a temporary car until I saved some more money, so I’m only selling it so I can buy another Tacoma that’s a Gen 3. Multiple mechanics gave it a good look over when I bout it, most recent said “this is one of the best 2nd generation Tacoma they’ve seen in a long time.” The interior has been extremely well maintained, no holes or rips and it has a great maintenance record.
I’ve had multiple Toyotas and love them, I like buying them, doing a few upgrades and maintenance sooner than necessary to get them running smooth and lasting as long as I can make them go. My last 4Runner went to 347k before a factory defect out of my expertise made the cooling system go out. I bought this as a temporary truck until I found my dream one so I’m trying to sell this for similar to what I’ve put into it.
From what I know about the owners is the one I bought it from used it as a commuter and the owner before that I think was a family member she bought it from, so it’s had a few owners but the miles on it have been very mild.
