1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. 2 owner car with a solid history, original character, and strong restoration potential.
This Fairlane Victoria was purchased from the original owner in 1992 and brought back to running and driving condition at that time with carburetor work, new brakes, wiring repairs, belts & hoses, upholstery, and an exterior respray. It was driven regularly through the 1990s and occasionally in the early 2000s before being stored.
The car is currently not running. The carburetor was removed several years ago during the process of getting it back on the road.
The carb parts are included with the sale. It has new spark plugs wires and a new battery. It will need the carburetor reinstalled, timing set, and general maintenance to get running again.
Overall, this is a complete and worthwhile classic Ford project. The body presents well for its age, with minor rust in the rear wheel wells/skirt areas. The exterior respray is older and showing age. The interior bench upholstery is in good condition. All original chrome is included.
Known needs include:
Radiator due to a prior overheating issue.
Sending unit for fuel gauge to function.
Carburetor needs to be rebuilt/reinstalled.
Timing needs to be set.
This would be a great candidate for someone looking for a largely complete 1956 Fairlane Victoria to restore. Good candidate to bring back as a regular driver. My original plan was a full frame-off restoration, but I’ve decided it’s time for someone else to take it forward.
