2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet 1.8T Convertible – Project / Mechanic Special – $1,000 OBO
Selling my 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet convertible with 1.8 turbo. The engine runs, but the transmission is slipping badly and the car will need to be towed. This would make a great project car, parts car, or candidate for someone willing to swap in a used transmission. I got it as rebuilt title at around 60,000 miles and have been religious with oil/filter changes every 5,000 miles or less.
Pros:
1.8T turbo engine runs
tires are practically new
Battery less than a year old
Aftermarket touchscreen Apple CarPlay stereo
Convertible
Interior is in ok shape overall, torn front leather seats.
*front axle and timing belt replaced 2 years ago
*alternator replaced ~2 years ago
*new brake pads and brake flush (new rotors on front) within the last year.
*battery is less than a year old
Known Issues:
Rebuilt title
Transmission slips badly
Power convertible top works intermittently
Rear glass is separating from the convertible top
A/C does not work
Hood has severe paint fading
Front leather seats have wear/tears
Missing trim around one fog light
*cracked windshield
Sold as-is. I’ve tried to be as upfront as possible about its condition. It has a lot of good parts and could be a worthwhile project for someone familiar with Audis. It’s a really fun car but life has left me with little time to work on it. Message me with any questions or offers.
