2005 VW Jetta 2.5L - Manual
VIN: 3VWSF71K95M617558
Mileage: 189,597
Title: Clean
Transmission: 5-Speed Manual
I’ve kept this car in good working order and have shown it a lot of love over the years. The car starts right up, runs great, and is ready to drive home. The 5-cylinder 2.5L engine is incredibly solid. Recent maintenance includes (with receipts):
Brand-new battery
New tires all around
New brake pads and rotors (all 4)
New front suspension springs
New serpentine belts and pulleys
Recent Alignment
Fresh oil change
Pending Optional Repairs (already priced into the asking rate):
Check Engine Light: Code P0420. It’s intermittent in summer, but stays on in winter. Mechanics have given mixed opinions on what could be the cause, but it has not affected drivability. (Note: I cannot speak to whether it will pass emissions; the car is registered in Washington County, so I haven't been required to perform an emissions test.)
Electrical: Passenger door wiring is loose (locks/windows intermittent); driver-side speakers are out; wipers work but the intermittent setting does not; horn works, but no "beep" when locking with the fob.
Cosmetics: Clear coat failure on the passenger side, rear driver side door, front passenger quarter, and roof; large dent under the front passenger door (snow pile incident); headliner is starting to sag in the rear; hood insulation is worn.
A/C: Works, but sometimes takes a minute to kick in.
Note on dashboard photos: In the photo it shows EPC and battery warnings lights before ignition, this is normal VW behavior. They turn off after ignition.
This is a perfect car for someone who needs a reliable manual daily driver with brand-new tires and brakes. I will also wash/vacuum it right before purchase.
Location: American Fork.
