A four inch Supper Bell dropped axle gets the grill close to the weeds, but not right in them. The New GM Crate 350 HP V8 remains largely untouched wiith deep Retro find air cleaner, valve covers, oil pan, fly wheel and trans pan behind the louvered side panels. With not knowing the hourse power that o is pushed through a New GM 350 Crate transmission With a lockar 3 speed shifter. ( More than 85 HP )
*The 2 inch ram horn headers exiting each side hugging ever so close to block they find there way to a two to three inch stainless steel collector mufflers that dumps right at the new ford 8 inch rear end and it doesn't get any cooler then that. The car under went a complet drive train update in 2018 now showing 2500 miles. This car is all steal and the only rust on the car was on the right rear fender measurement about 3/4 inch long and a 1/2 inch wide Right above were the fender meets the running board filled with licwood metal And Prep and reading for paint. The body is tight and clean no rattles or squeaky sounds the colser you look at this car makes one wonder how this car ever maid it this long with out some one screweing it up. The Coupe is rolling on original wide 5 wheels that were crome plated in the 50s and new cocker 3 inch WW 16 4.5 wheels with ford 5 4.5 Bolt pattern adapter plate to 10.5 these are often called artillery wheels.
This car was built during the height of the Depression, and this one is one of the cooler examples you haven't seen for sale in quite some time. The car still retains it's original and period correct body, Frame and interior with original looking updated gauges and the trunk and kick panels have been replaced with newer carpet and panels Sound deading material, and apolstery, only the seat and head lining fabric and door panels remains original. I'm geting ahead of myself let's go back to the engine, holly 650 Cfm, crome carb, holly electric full pump, endobrock competition manifold, electric push fan keeps the engine around 190% walker radiator this is how it should look when you have something as nice as this is one of the nicest builds that still retains one of Henry fords 5 window coupe that has the coolest lines ever. The glass is all new except the wing windows and they all roll up and down and so does the rear window and front window rolls in an out no it's not tinted, why because they didn't have tinted glass back in 1936.
OK I no what you're going to say reallyĺ tinted glass when they replaced a perfectly good flat head engine, trans, and rear end. Try and stay with me, on this. This is a 1950/60 hot rod build and flathead engines are really cool, But this was the years when GM, Ford, Doge and the others were at first generation engines ,transmission and rear ends. At every angle it really highlights how the car sits low enough to were the fenders ride on the top of the white walls as it nicely tucked over the new coker 5 50 tires on pressed-steel artillery wheels that were crome plated back in the late 50,S. unfortunately drips from the gas filler neck havetaken their toll on the paint’s finish. And yes there are some spider cracks and some places were touched up with paint that slightly different but thats just part of its history, Ford offered two coups, one witha 3 window and the other a 5 window both. The difference is 6 inches more leg space in the 5 window. The lockar shifter is just one up and looks like it belongs in the car , wood dash, banjo wheel and half moon dial radio look great all original. Seat belts are a welcome addition, and the 12 volt battery supports all the electrical and keeps it user friendly. The breaks Have been upgraded to disk up front and drums at the rear, thankfully “Juice” hydraulic brakes have replaced the original mechanical items. Neither overdone nor undercooked, this one looks absolutely spot-on. I am the 4th owner of this car and I can put u in touch with the 3rd. He as a really good back story of the car. If interested call 435 733 0119.
