1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible

Purchased from Beverly Hills Car Club 3 years ago. Your Corvair was built in December 1964 (12A) at Willow Run Assembly Plantright at the start of the 1965 model year, which was a complete redesign.

That matters because:

1965 marked the shift to fully independent rear suspension (IRS)

Chevrolet corrected the handling criticisms tied to earlier models

The design became sleeker, lower, and more European-inspired

This was Chevrolet proving something after the controversy sparked by Unsafe at Any Speed by Ralph Nader.
