2020 Ford Expedition MAX Limited 4WD
Comfortable, easy to drive, loaded with safety and convenience features, and big enough to seat eight people without giving up cargo room. It’s a great family SUV for everyday driving and road trips, but it also has the power and capability to tow a boat, side-by-side, or other recreational trailer with ease.
Family comfort and convenience
Seats 8
Front bucket seats
Second- and third-row bench seats
Heated and ventilated front seats
Heated second-row seats
Heated steering wheel
Separate driver and passenger climate controls
Independent rear climate controls
Power-retractable running boards
Remote start
Three-position driver-seat memory
Power liftgate
Rear liftgate glass opens separately
Roof rails
Because this is the MAX, there is still a large amount of cargo space behind the third row even with all eight seats in use.
BOTH rear rows are power folding. Every rear seat can be folded independently at the push of a button. With the second and third rows folded down, it creates a massive flat cargo area. Check out my video showing this in action.

Blind-spot monitoring
Lane-keeping system
4WD
Built-in navigation
SYNC 3 touchscreen
Apple CarPlay
Android Auto
12-speaker B&O premium sound system with subwoofer

Clean Carfax
Under the hood is Ford’s 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost, producing 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission. It’s essentially a truck powertrain in a comfortable family SUV, with strong acceleration, excellent low-end torque, and respectable gas mileage for a vehicle this large. The EcoBoost and 10-speed transmission are one of Ford's best combinations, with a ton of power yet smooth shifting and drivability, and are considered among their most reliable as well.
I’ve regularly towed our four-seat Kawasaki KRX and our boat with it, and it handles trailers extremely well. We’ve also taken it on family trips to Disneyland and Universal Studios with plenty of room for passengers and luggage. It's extremely easy to drive and comfortable despite having such a powerful truck motor.
It also has almost-new Yokohama tires.
Save yourself a couple thousand buying private party from me. There are a few dealer ads with similar price but keep in mind you'll pay several thousand extra in fees at a dealer.
Overall, this is a comfortable and practical family SUV with room for eight, huge cargo capacity, excellent features, and the power to tow like a truck.
