Meet Cheryl, my trusty little grocery getter and commuter car. She isn't the prettiest girl at the dance anymore, but she's been one of the most dependable vehicles I've owned. The 2.4L engine and 5-speed manual transmission make her surprisingly fun to drive—I've always described her as my little go-kart
.
I bought Cheryl with just 49,000 miles from the previous gentleman, who towed her behind his RV (which explains why the hood and roof clear coat have seen better days). She now has only 62,814 original miles.
The good:
✅ Only 62,814 original miles
✅ 5-speed manual transmission
✅ Falken tires on alloy wheels
✅ Includes a complete set of Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires
✅ Full-size spare
✅ Interior is exceptionally clean
✅ Clean title
This little car has never left me stranded, and with the Blizzaks I never gotten it stuck in the snow and I live up Emigration Canyon.
The honest part:
Needs front brake pads and rotors.
Windshield is cracked on the passenger side.
Hood and roof have clear coat failure from years of being towed behind an RV.
Small cosmetic scratches/dings and a cracked right taillight.
Factory non-A/C model, but it's never bothered me with the windows down.
Windshield trim looks rough but does not leak.
I'm only selling because I'm buying a new vehicle, and my previous daily driver is becoming my new commuter. Cheryl deserves someone who'll keep putting miles on her instead of sitting in my driveway.
If you're looking for a cheap, reliable commuter, first car, winter beater, or a fun little manual to row through the gears, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
$2,800, I'm not desperate to sell, but I think that's a fair price considering the mileage, condition, the newer wheels and tires, plus the included winter tires.
Available most afternoons.
