2006 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Mega Cab 4x4 with the 5.9L Cummins. Clean title with 179,800 miles. This truck has been well maintained and has received several reliability upgrades over the years. The 48RE was professionally rebuilt at approximately 153,000 miles (receipt available), and a Mishimoto transmission cooler was installed to help keep transmission temperatures down while towing. It towed 8000lbs to Bryce Canyon last weekend and had trans temps under 190. It did get to 200 degrees going up Hurricane Hill in slow traffic and middle afternoon last weekend, but that's as hot as I've seen it get.
Additional maintenance and upgrades include Synergy front-end components, cold A/C, and a 2" lift. Aftermarket radio head unit is installed with backup cam. Truck was serviced by Smith Diesel in Cedar who replaced TIPM just a few weeks ago. It has also been tuned by Power Driven Diesel in Cedar City. I'll include the CTS gauge unit and the EFI Live tune box. I don't have a 5-way tune switch.
It does have a few issues. The window tint needs to be redone, but that hasn't been a problem for me. The window switch bevels are loose in the back seat as the plastic retainers broke, and I haven't been able to find replacements. Again, not an issue for me. The tachometer bounces around a bit; these trucks often have issues with the gauge cluster. It's not a huge issue for me, since I usually just listen to the engine. If I were to keep the truck, I'd probably fix it.
The truck has been a great tow vehicle and daily driver. I'll miss it, but I get bored with vehicles and I'm looking to upgrade to a L5P Chev.
