Please read full description… miles will go up as this is my daily driver.
I have a 2005 Chevy Malibu with 275k miles for sale. This has been my commuter car for the last 9 years. It was my goal to get this car to 300k miles. I have changed the oil every 5k miles. The car runs and has ice cold AC. I am going to list every issue I can think of with this car….. I am not hiding anything.
The transmission is starting to slip a little in high gears (freeway speeds going up hills). Doesn’t slip much around town at lower speeds.
The right front blinker doesn’t work and hasn’t works in the last 6 yrs. It is a wiring issue. The left blinker works great and it’s harder to make a left hand turn with no blinker then it is a right which is why I never fixed it. Both rear blinkers and front left blinkers work fine.
In the winter time the car will lose power steering very intermittently. If you pull over shut the car off and restart it then the power steering comes back on. It has done this for the last 4-5yrs. It does not do this in the summer. I didn’t feel it was worth fixing as it is very intermittent and more costly then i thought it was worth.
The back driver side window doesn’t roll down. All other windows work.
The brakes and rotors are about needing to be replaced as the rotors feel warped when you brake.
It leaks a little oil and I have to add a little every few times I fill up with gas. It does not burn oil.
It has a 2 year old battery, newer good tires. I have a list of things I have replaced with the mileage i can tell you more about if you ask such as water pump, radiator, fuel pump, spark plugs and wires. This thing passes emissions. I would keep this car but my wife is making me sell it as I just bought a truck and she doesn’t want 5 cars between the two of us. It was my goal to get this car to 300k miles. I would trust this car to make it to St. George and back tomorrow. This car will most likely make it to 300k miles. $600 OBO located in Roy. text me at 801-837-8899
