This is my 2007 subaru forester 2.5 XT with an ej20x swap. It has been a really fun car. It started showing signs of a head gasket failure, and I simply dont have the time or resources to swap a new ej20x into it. I have put a lot of work into this car. It’s has oil changed every 4-5k miles with full synthetic, It has new suspension, tires, transmission was swapped less than 2 years ago, kicker cs sound system, gear oil service. I also replaced the secondary air pump on this engine. It is wired for a subwoofer, it also has a factory subwoofer that I disconnected. Power moonroof (it is fully functional), exaust is in tact, turbo sounds great and it has a cold air intake system by Grimm speed. Has some really awesome whoosh sounds. I just cant justify putting more money into this car, but for someone who has the tools or budget, throwing in a $1200 ej20x would make this a really fun car. It's already pre wired for it so save yourself the hassle! It has the absolute best awd system I have ever experienced, and it is just an amazing car. I really wish I could keep it. It also is basically rust free. The underneath is completely rust free, and the paint just got a paint correction. It has a wax applied to it so water beads off the paint.. There are some scratches and paint missing but nothing I’d say a 20 year old car wouldn’t have. This is the best shell I could find. One thing to note- because of the fact the car stopped being able to drive, I couldn't give it a carwash, so I will dust off the spots that have paint damage so you can see those in person. One thing is occasionally this car throws a catalytic converter not performing code, usually pops up once every month or two, not an everyday thing. Its only happened Mabye 3 or 4 times in my ownership. That’s about all I know about it, but want to be upfront. Note* This car will have to be towed away as it can’t run very long before coolant starts to overflow. It does turn over so you can quickly hear the engine run before you have to turn it off if you’d like. The engine itself sounds great, no ticks or anything. If it weren’t for me looking into it, you couldn’t tell it has a head gasket failure yet. I also caught it early as it’s only overheated under load but I pulled over before it got too hot in hopes of protecting as much of the engine as I can.
