Selling our 2007 Dodge Caliber as a mechanic's special / project car. It ran great and was a reliable commuter until a couple months ago when it was parked due to suspension and brake issues. The engine and transmission are good and we’ve loved this car, we’re only selling because we can’t afford the cost of having the necessary repairs done at a shop. This is a great opportunity for someone who can do the work themselves!
Vehicle details:
Mileage: 226,159
Clean title in hand
Just registered and passed emissions testing in May 2026
Interior is in good shape; never smoked or vaped in
Minor cosmetic damage, including a few scratches and dents
Engine and transmission have been running well
Check engine light has occasionally come on briefly (roughly once or twice a year for a day or two) and then gone back off on its own. It has been checked multiple times previously.
Known repairs needed:
Both front control arms need replacement (parts: RK620065 and RK620066)
Front tires have excessive wear related to the control-arm/alignment issue
Front brakes are grinding and need new pads and rotors
Sold strictly AS-IS.
Priced at $975 OBO to reflect the repairs needed. A good project for a DIYer, backyard mechanic, or someone looking for a fixer-upper. Comparable running examples can sell for considerably more, so good value here for someone who can handle the repairs themselves.
