1993 Lexus ES 300 — $1,000 OBO

Selling my 1993 Lexus ES 300. It isn’t pretty, but it runs and drives and would make a good inexpensive commuter, first car, or project for someone who doesn’t mind putting in a little work.

The good:

Runs and drives

Under 200,000 miles as of about a month ago

Heat and A/C work

Radio, tape player, and trunk-mounted CD player all work

Power seats, sunroof, windows, wipers, windshield sprayers, and lights work

Good tires, including one new tire

Brand-new battery

Comes with a spare tire

The not-so-good:

Odometer recently stopped working

Power steering leak

Driver’s window needs to be put back on track

Passenger-side rear door does not open

Seats are in rough condition

Exterior has plenty of cosmetic wear

Most of the issues are cosmetic or relatively straightforward repairs. It’s an older car and definitely not perfect, but it still has a lot of working features and gets down the road.
