2008 Mazda3 S Touring 2.3 MANUAL sedan.
152,XXX miles
Clean title
For an 18 yr old car it is in good shape. It has the usual rock chips and whatnot but also has some rust along the bottom of the driver's side front door, and what appears to cracking body filler on the driver's side passenger door. Carfax shows both driver's side doors were repaired/replaced in 2009.
The interior is in great shape. Only one small tear on the driver's seat side bolster. All of the electronics work. The AC blows cold but might need a charge. Once in a while it randomly cuts out.
Mechanically the car runs really well, and gets annual oil changes (I don't drive it much). The next one is due in November or 155k miles. The car has surprising passing power for what it is. This has the bigger 2.3L 4cyl engine that makes 151 hp and a 5 spd manual transmission. I have averaged /- 32mpg per tank during my ownership.
What it needs:
2nd and 3rd gear grind once in a while no matter what you do. It's done this since I bought the car. It might just need a fluid flush.
The brakes are due for replacement.
The clutch and axles were replaced in January 2025.
Shocks and struts were replaced in June 2022. I have some replacement control arms and end links that will come with the car.
Alignment was performed July 2025.
Continental all season tires only have a few thousand miles on them (bought used) Date codes show January 2024. Installed on the car July 2025.
I have a copy of the Carfax and can pass that on.
This would be a great car for a first time driver, someone wanting to learn stick, or as a cheap commute car.
A local dealer provided me with a valuation of the car (last pic). They valued it at $5850. Given the things it needs I've listed it for $3800
