1999 Subaru Forester AWD – 5-Speed Manual – Runs & Drives
1999 Subaru Forester AWD with 5-speed manual transmission, approximately 173,000 miles. Runs and drives well and has been a functional vehicle.
I was told when I acquired the car that the engine had been replaced and had approximately 50,000 miles on it. I do NOT have documentation verifying the engine replacement or mileage, so I want to be upfront that this information is what was represented to me and is not verified.
The tires are in good condition and have approximately 3,000 miles of use on them.
This is a 27-year-old Subaru and it does need some work. The windshield is cracked and needs replacement, the brakes need work, and the clutch is worn and will eventually need attention/replacement. There is also a small rust spot. It currently starts, runs, shifts, and drives.
I’m selling it because I have another vehicle and don’t want to put additional money into repairing this one.
These older manual AWD Foresters are getting harder to find, and this could be a good inexpensive vehicle for someone who is mechanically inclined, knows Subarus, or wants a project they can continue driving while working on it.
I’m not trying to represent it as a restored or problem-free car. It’s an older Subaru that runs and drives but needs some work, and I’ve priced it accordingly.
$2,500 OBO.
Sold as-is. You’re welcome to inspect it or have a mechanic inspect it before purchasing. Serious inquiries welcome.
