I'm selling my 2019 Ford F-150 4x4 Supercrew alongside a 2021 6' Spacekap Diablo, both in excellent condition. The truck has 56,000 miles and is located in Bountiful, Utah. I absolutely loved this rig! The features of the truck and camper shell are listed below, but here are a few highlights - The truck is a 3.5L V6 Ecoboost, outfitted with the Heavy Duty Payload Package (HDPP), Max Trailer Tow Package, and FX4 Offroad Package. This configuration offers 2,520 lbs of payload capacity! A one in one thousand, unicorn F-150. You will not find this payload on any other half ton pickup. Paired with the streamlined one piece fiberglass Spacekap shell which weighs less than 900 lbs, you'll have a lot of wiggle room for gear or upfitting. I initially planned to build out the Spacekap interior, but ended up just building a bed platform with 2x4's and calling it a day. I've loved the versatility - going from camping mode to hauling bikes, supplies, work stuff, etc. Capable, versatile, affordable, and drivable, this configuration is a very sensible 4x4 overlanding option for the right person.

About the Camper:

I purchased this brand new in 2022 and had it shipped from the factory in Canada to Utah. The Spacekap Diablo is a one piece fiberglass service body that is lightweight, aerodynamic, waterproof, soundproof, transferable, modular, and durable. It will not rot. Designed for tradework, this platform also makes an excellent camper and is ready to be built out. I have camped in the winter with a small heater and it stays very warm. Paired with the twin turbo Ecoboost, you don't even know it's there and makes for an excellent daily driver. Fully transferable, the Spacekap can be fitted to any modern pickup on the market. The only issue with the shell is a few small cracks in the gelcoat which are easily repaired.

The truck has one known mechanical issue. At around 45,000 miles, the truck developed what is commonly known as a "cold start rattle". This is a known issue with the cam phasers and one that ford issued a Customer Satisfaction Program to resolve. Unfortunately that program expired in 2023 before the issue popped up. Basically what happens is, from a cold start, a rattle noise is heard from the engine for about 2 seconds after startup. From what I understand, the noise comes from the cam phaser pins not engaging until enough oil pressure builds up. Ford says it's just a noise and doesn't cause permanent damage. I bypass the rattle by flood-starting the truck when the engine is cold: press the gas pedal all the way down and crank the engine for 5-6 seconds, building up oil pressure, then let go of the pedal and the truck starts with no rattle. This issue can be fixed with updated parts.
