CLASSIC 1968 Ford Thunderbird; Coupe; Driven 142,717 miles
This is a 1968 Ford Tudor Landau Thunderbird with the 429 Thunder Jet engine and the 3 speed Selectshift Cruise-O-Matic transmission. I believe the odo has rolled over once, which is why I listed it with 142,717. It has power steering, power brakes, power windows, and pneumatic power door locks. It has the Mustang Pony interior with the wraparound rear bench and the optional front buckets and center console. There is very little body rust, but there is some. The engine hasn't been run in almost 20 years, so it will need some work to run, but when my dad stopped driving it, there weren't any mechanical problems. He stopped driving it because the power windows developed a fault, and he hadn't updated the A/C yet, so it was just too hot to drive it in Nevada. There are some dings and broken trim pieces, but the body is straight, and all the major parts are present. She is a beautiful car that I have been intending to restore myself, but I have finally realized that I don't have the time or inclination for it. So, I'm trying to find her a good home with someone ready to take her on as a project.
