One owner maintenance truck. Don't be fooled by the high mileage, this truck has been meticulously maintained by our in-house maintenance man who was the sole driver of it and is in solid mechanical condition. He is now gone and so its time for his truck to serve someone else as well.
The truck spent the first 16 years in Southern California as a field service truck mostly doing highway miles, chasing jobs from San Diego up to Santa Barbara. In 2011 we moved to the truck to Utah to use as a maintenance truck for our facility in Logan. Since 2011 the truck has only been driven 32,500 miles around our facility and locally to grab maintenance parts.
For the age, the utility bed is in surprisingly good condition. There is some surface rust but the doors open and close as they should and are straight and seal well. There is no moisture inside the boxes. The bed has a lot of life left in it and could go right to work or be repainted to fix the cosmetic blemishes.
The tires are in good condition and have good life left in them and the fuel tank is topped off full. The truck has a frame-mounted towing hitch.
The truck has dual electric transfer fuel tanks for refueling equipment. One for gas and another for diesel. The fuel pumps work well.
The tank with gasoline measures 12 x 24 x 46" and holds about 57 gallons and is full.
The tank with diesel measures 24 x 24 x 46" and holds about 114 gallons and appears to be about 3/4 full.
The interior cloth seats are also in surprisingly good condition for the age and mileage. There is some oil staining but all in all the fabric still has plenty of life.
The body is mostly straight with some surface rust and one spot of heavy rust through the body near the front right wheel well.
The drivers window rolls up and down but needs assistance to stay in its track. The brakes are a little touchy when the truck is cold but work well once its driven a little and warmed up. The ABS light is on which may be contributing to the touchy brakes.
All in all this is a solid truck. Yes, there are some cosmetic issues and some normal wear and tear for its age and mileage but the utility bed, roof rack and fuel tanks make this truck ready to work. Also keep in mind the truck is carrying about $750 worth of fuel.
