1973 International Scout II. This is a Daily Driver in good running condition. I’m reluctantly selling it. I am the third owner and I was told that the mileage is accurate. Good 345 Engine with a automatic choke Holly Carburetor- 4x4 high and low range with a high quality rebuilt Automatic Transmission, Posi-traction rear end. Drum brakes all around, with original Owners Manual and factory line ticket.
This Scout has rust and needs body work - especially on the Rocker panels!
Here is what I've done to this Scout since I’ve owned it during the past six years. High Quality Auto Transmission rebuild - Transmission safety switch replaced - New Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter - carb cleaned and adjusted - Replaced spark plugs and wires - New Distributor cap - fan Belts replaced - All rubber Hoses Replaced- Coil Replaced - Radiator welded and pressure tested - Brakes have new drums and brake pads - Replaced Duel Exhausts from engine manifold to back. ($2000 job) new Radio Antenna - New high quality Blanket Seat Covers Front and Rear - New Spare Tire on New matching Rim - Added a Leaf Spring on Rear axle - Battery Replaced - Windshield Washer Reservoir hoses and spray heads replaced - Wiper Arms and Blades replaced - New Rear Tail Light lenses - Welded and Reinforced Gasoline Filler Tube- Replaced Temperature Gauge and Dash light Bulbs - New traction Cooper Tires - New 16 " Black Rims - Blue Carpet Mats - new courtesy light door switches - Fire Extinguisher- New Five gallon gas can. Like all old Scouts this truck has rust. The Rocker Panels need to be replaced. The lower panels need to be repaired. This Scout has been painted with Rustoleum Spray Paint cans. (It’s a 20/20 paint job. It looks good as long as it’s going 20 mph and you stay 20 feet away. 😊) Rocker panels need to be replaced, Doors need to be adjusted, Power Steering Box needs to be tightened up to remove excess play, Gas Gauge is not working, door locks need to be fixed. Window weather stripping is not real good. Conclusion- This vehicle is in Original condition and runs very well but it is 50 years old. Don’t expect a new car! But it’s a good candidate for further restoration. I’m in no hurry to sell this thus my Price is Firm! I don’t dicker or negotiate. No trades! Phone calls only! I will only talk to you concerning this sale on the telephone! Texts will not be answered. Payment to be made in Cash or by official bank or credit union cashiers checks accepted. No holds. First buyer with money in hand takes it. Thank you for looking. It’s a pretty cool Scout that gets a lot of attention when you drive it.
Give me phone call if you’re interested and need further information. (801)391-5152
