Ignore the listing details, this is actually a 2006 AM General M1152 HMMWV that was purchased demilitarized from the U.S. Marine Corps. It is one of the more modern ones you will find on here being a 2006 HMMWV which means it has the greatly improved turbocharged diesel engine with 4 speed automatic, air conditioning, and heavy duty cooling system with rear differential cooling and oversized brakes. It was originally a two door truck model so I added the 4 seater soft top and 4 aluminum doors, but it still only has two seats. The two rear seats can be added later relatively easily.
Mechanically, everything seems to work great. The AC blows cold, the engine starts right up and pulls strong. The transmission shifts smoothly and all of the 4 wheel drive selections function normally. I even restored the deep water fording capability so it can drive in deep water if you ever needed to.
The paint and aluminum sheet metal needs some work if that is something that is important to you. I almost had it stripped and painted, but figured I would let the new owner decide what they would rather do and pass that potential savings on.
It has a clean Utah title and is fully street legal.
If you have never driven or owned a military HMMWV before, please do some research. These are definitely not vehicles for a novice. It rides like a 5 ton truck and is built to military "safety" standards so it has all sorts of dangerous aspects such sharp edges and being very loud. It can be dangerous to drive if you don't know what you are doing. Don't let the 2006 model year fool you, there are no ABS brakes, stability control, or even air bags here.
Asking price is $20,000 OBO.
Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or would like additional photos of specific areas.
Also don't let me scare you away with what you just read. Driving this thing around is FREAKING AWESOME and it has never let me down reliability-wise.
