Perfect First Vehicle - Affordable 4x4 that fits your friends, can easily be worked on by a normal person, does well in winter or off-road, and the small dents and dings that happen to all of us as young people won't matter.
1991 2nd Gen 4Runner SR5 3.0L V6 4x4 5-speed Manual
This badboy still runs and drives like a champ, including 4Hi and 4Lo. Engine was rebuilt at 187K when I bought it. I was going to restore it, so I got as far as the front fenders being done and the hood being primed (all rhino-lined on the backsides). It has been my baby for almost 20 years, but since I injured my back, time has come to part with it. It was my daily driver for 5 years and then just for camping/exploring the mountains.
Good:
Trustworthy, starts every time.
Rancho shocks on the front, just replaced the rear shocks too
Power Rear window rolls down, as do all but one rear window (but it comes with the regulator/switch needed)
Tires have a lot of life left
Kenwood head unit and speakers
Power locks work
Power Moonroof works, but has a crack (does not leak)
C'mon, it's a Toyota!
Bad:
AC doesn't work (heat still does)
Driver's seat worn/torn in the usual area
Power steering leaks
Rust in a few spots, a few dents in the driver side rocker
Driver's side mirror is broken
Cruise has never worked
Rear ABS light in the dash has always been on
E-Brake is weak
Gas cap cover is gone
Comes with:
Extra window glass and regulators for all 4 doors
Plenty of extra window switches
Extra (nicer) swing-out spare tire holder
2 extra wheel/tires, one aluminum, one steel
A couple boxes of the original equipment I took off, like roof rack, etc.
No lowballs, reports, trades or general BS. If it's still listed, it's available, so message me and set up a time to come drive it.
