This truck has run pretty great for us, I bought it as a project car my son and I to work on. We did minor things like oil changes, put in a new starter motor, and we replaced one coolant hose that has all worked well since.
Interior is clean.
All lights work inside and out, even on the dash (includes the bright light and 4x4 indicators too)
Mechanically very sound, I have a detailed work and parts history dating back to 2016 many of these newer parts have less than 5,000 miles on them.
The old owner has some other interesting history on it including titles from AZ dating back to 1978
Bedliner—this truck can still and has been put to work
Sleek watertight bed cover
Full size spare dated 2019
Tires still have life left (could use a rotation)
Captains chairs, so not original, but pretty comfortable and added storage with the suburban center console.
The radio looks period correct but has AM/FM/AUX/USB and MP3 capabilities.
Selling with the repair manual, spare locking hub and fuel filters.
The Bad (see pictures for most):
The clear coat is peeling on the hood and some other places.
There is rust on the passenger rear fender.
The horn doesn’t blow (it used to… I think a wire has been dislodged)
Steering wheel faceplate is cracked.
Shift indicator isn’t visible.
The odometer cable needs lubrication but functions fine. When temps are below freezing, it makes some noise and jumps a bit until the cab warms up.
On occasion, the blower motor will not operate at its highest setting if it is in defrost mode. I usually shift the selector to heater only and that solves the issue.
AC is there, I don’t know if it works though.
It uses a bit of oil. If I had to estimate, I’d say I add a quart every 1,000 miles. I change the oil and filter after 3,000. It has only been run a couple times a month this winter, so could probably use a change.
