I have prepared an overview of the truck with more detail and the additional parts that come with the project. You can view it at:

Do you like old Studebaker trucks? Their classic lines make for one fine hot rod. I have been working on such a project for the last few years through a builder in Burley, Idaho. The main picture in this ad is the concept drawing for the build. My focus has been to enhance and hopefully improve upon the original designers efforts, along with updating the suspension and drivetrain to modern standards. The engine is a 2017 Ford Coyote, double overhead cam V-8, and the automatic transmission is the matching 6 speed 6R80 from a donor truck with 8,500 original miles. The new front suspension is a bagged IFS unit from Fatman Fabrications. The rear suspension is a Welder’s Series triangulated 4-bar with a ’96 Ford Explorer 8.8”, 31 spline, 3.73:1 differential. The bed has been highly customized by grafting in the rear section from a ’54 Buick sedan. I know, it sounds kinda weird, but in my view it really compliments the rest of the truck. One of the things I never really liked about this vintage was the dashboard. It just didn’t measure up to the rest of the design. This truck has had the very handsome dash from a ’55-’57 Chevrolet truck shortened and installed. Much better in my view.
This truck will be an award winner when completed. I have over $56,000 into the truck. Only the best quality parts have been incorporated. All work has been performed by professional, award winning builder Gary Warner of Gary’s Hot Rods & Harleys:
