This 1953 Ford Customline "Filthy '53" has been a fun project that my brother saved from sitting in a garage for the past 30 years. This would be a great project to get you into the vintage scene, take the family to cruise nights, or run to the grocery store, just as we have. We have enjoyed going to cruise nights and driving around town. It has the original 8BA Flathead V8 and Fordomatic transmission. It has the original positive ground 6V electrical system with generator and starter. I installed a Pertronix coil and ignitor in place of the points system which helps her idle a little better. It has a new Holley 94 replica and an inline electric fuel pump, but I have the original mechanical pump with glass bowl. I swapped out the original single outlet exhaust and connecting manifolds with Fenton cast iron headers from Speedway, Reds front pipes, and ran dual outlet exhaust that sounds great coming from the flathead. The fuel sending unit stopped working, so I have a new one that comes with the car. I replaced all brake shoes front and rear and front wheel cylinders and brake hoses last year. I installed 4 lap belts to take my wife and son to cruise nights which my son is going to miss. The interior is in decent shape outside of the drivers door panel and headliner. The exterior has a great patina, but does have some previous bondo work done to the rockers and quarter panels by the previous owner. I have a few extra parts like some dash trim I got from Canada that I never installed, a new trunk seal and some motor mounts. Last start and run was Memorial Day weekend 2025. Definitely a project, but isnt far from driving again. Asking $3000 or best offer. It's a fun car and hate to see it go. Title in hand. Text 385-209-9978. No codes, no scams, no delivery. Pick up only, bring a trailer.
