All right, sports(car) fans, the wait is over. Chevrolet has finally released pricing plans for the 2023 Corvette Z06. Enthusiasts salivating over its wider, more aggressive styling and more powerful V8 engine will need to pinch a lot of pennies to get their hands on one of these.
High Cost of Flying
The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 comes in three different trim levels: 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ. The base-level 1LZ starts at $106,395, with the 2LZ and 3LZ hitting $115,595 and $120,245, respectively.
Keep in mind, those figures don’t account for dealer markups. Given the C8’s popularity, that alone could push prices much higher. If you prefer to swap out the coupe for the convertible, be prepared to shell out an additional $7,000 to $7,500 to feel that wind in your hair.
First Class Upgrades
To take your ‘Vette to the next level, Chevy offers the Z07 performance package. For $8,995 you’ll get Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires, underbody strakes, an FE7 suspension tune and carbon-ceramic brakes.
Of course, to get the Z07 upgrades, you also have to get the Carbon Aero package. That adds between $8,495 to $10,495 more to the ticket, depending on whether you have carbon flash-painted components or exposed carbon fiber.
If you really want to go all out, you can also purchase carbon fiber wheels with either a visible or flash-painted finish for $11,995 or $9,995, respectively. They’ll reduce weight by 41 pounds, but they’re only available for cars with the Z07 package.
So really, $106,395 is practically a bargain. Because if you add in all the extras, you’re looking at close to $160,000. To put that price in perspective, the base-level C7-generation Corvette Z06 starts at $81,995.
Still, Chevy’s sports car is easier on the wallet than other makes. And don’t forget that the nearly $25,000 bump does include Chevrolet’s most impressive engine to date — a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated flat-plane crankshaft V8 that revs up to 8,600 rpm with 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Add that to some enhanced performance components and aesthetic tweaks, and true ‘Vette enthusiasts are likely to agree that the cost seems more than justified.
