Garage trifecta: Audi TT RS, Acura NSX, Lexus GS300

It didn’t take long for Gabe Jones to become an integral part of the Utah car community after relocating from Florida six years ago. He purchased an Audi R8 he found on KSL Cars for professional reasons. He’d worked in the tech industry for a while and was ready to start his own business, an automotive consignment warehouse.

But he also forged some incredible friendships because of that iconic supercar. “The Utah car community is very welcoming,” Gabe told KSL. “Everyone knows everyone.”
Two of those friends — Luke Terry and Christian Smith — showed up to support Gabe while shooting an episode of Around the Hood With KSL Cars. Luke jokingly shouted stage directions; Christian chimed in with some quips of his own. The three had a great rapport.
Gabe no longer owns that Audi R8, but his garage has three sleek, shiny track-inspired cars inside: 2003 Lexus GS300, 2020 Audi TT RS in a rare shade of green and a 2005 Acura NSX in Long Beach Blue. See all three — plus a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Diesel sporting Gobi paint — in this episode of Around the Hood With KSL Cars.
Oh, and Gabe’s garage is as pristine as the paint on the beauties it houses, thanks to epoxy floors, a built-in vacuum and his obsession for cleanliness.
Buy it, experience it, sell it
Buying cars — whether for his company, Captivate Utah, or his personal use — is a business decision for Gabe. He won’t pay more than market value or buy something that doesn’t have resale potential. Ultimately, however, his personal purchases are still about how the car makes him feel. “I have a list in my head of what I want to experience and I check it off,” he said.

Sometimes he needs to experience a vehicle more than once — like that Acura NSX. After the initial purchase, he sold it and bought it back. Twice. Its likeness is even tattooed on his arm, part of a sleeve that visually portrays his life journey and pays tribute to the time he spent working on cars with his late father.

The Jeep Gladiator — complete with custom 40s and electric side steps “helpful for short wives” — parked in Gabe’s driveway is his everyday go-to. It puts the “fun” in “functional.” He uses it to run errands, haul stuff around, go for canyon drives with his dogs or take his bikes to the trailhead. According to Gabe, “Anyone who doesn’t like Jeeps, just doesn’t like to have fun.”
As much as he drives it, however, Gabe still hasn’t found all of the easter eggs. His fave so far? The sandals on the windshield cowl.
There was a social aspect behind the purchase of Gabe’s Lexus GS300. The sporty, four-door sedan rides extremely low, but is so dialed in that it doesn’t drag even with four adults inside. Gabe said he chased it for two years because it was “the cleanest in the country.” This car is all about having fun with like-minded motorheads.
Many of Gabe’s vehicle transactions are made within his network, as are Luke’s and Christian’s. But the trio uses KSL regularly as well. “I sold three cars in the span of three days using KSL,” Christian told us.
A surprising change of pace
Looking at Gabe’s collection of cars, one might assume that his next vehicle will be capable of going from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds. But he’s actually contemplating a purchase that won’t exceed 25 mph: a pontoon boat (and a lakehouse) in Florida. Because nothing makes you appreciate life in the fast lane rather than slowing your roll from time to time.
Another surprising fact about Gabe? He takes a bath every day, and shops while he soaks. “I usually find the cars I’m going to buy while in the bathtub,” he admitted without any embarrassment.
