2025 Infiniti QX80 redefines the luxury SUV
Discussed in this article
If there’s a segment that’s changing as rapidly as Utah’s weather, it's the luxury SUV market. Utahns love SUVs — and luxury — so it's no surprise there are so many listings on KSL Cars that fit the bill. But boy, how luxury SUVS have evolved.
It’s no longer just about plush materials and smooth rides. It’s about a complete, thoughtful, curated experience where comfort, technology and design come together in seamless and creative ways. This is especially true in the all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80, a full-size luxury SUV that excels in every way — and darn near redefines what modern luxury means, especially for families who want it all.
Here’s a look at six standout features that showcase how far luxury SUVs have come — and why the new QX80 deserves your attention.

Interior craftsmanship that rivals elite resorts
Step inside the new 2025 Infiniti QX80, and it’s clear that Infiniti has spared no expense. Rich semi-aniline leather seating, available in sophisticated and sumptuous colors such as Saddle Brown and Graphite, indulgently wraps around you in beautiful and comfortable ways. Seriously, these might be some of the most comfortable seats we’ve ever experienced. We didn’t want to leave.
Open-pore wood trim, aluminum accents and exquisite, swooping ambient lighting (infinitely customizable — no pun intended) elevate the space to something that feels more akin to a five-star suite than a three-row SUV designed to transport your family to school or soccer games.
Even the stitching on the seats is handcrafted — a small detail, yet one that enhances the immersive luxury cabin atmosphere. Whether you’re the driver or a passenger in the third row — which comfortably accommodates full-grown adults — the QX80 feels special.

Large screen displays that look and function well
For better or worse, technology plays a significant role in the modern luxury equation, and the QX80 excels with its dual 14.3-inch displays. One screen manages infotainment duties while the other focuses on vehicle functions and controls. The graphics are sharp, the response time is fast and the setup feels intuitive.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with over-the-air updates to keep everything up to date. The best part is how well all the screens function. Some screens in other vehicles are convoluted and overwhelming, but that’s not the case with the QX80.
Thankfully, there are still a few physical buttons that can carry out some commands, but when the screens are necessary, they’re logical and easy to use, especially with their haptic feedback. We only wish we could eliminate the middle console screen in the second row. It’s superfluous and redundant and takes up space where an additional storage cubby could be.

Twin-turbo power that moves like a dream
Luxury also means effortless performance, and the 2025 QX80 brings it with a GT-R derived 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6. Replacing the old V8, this engine produces 450 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, offering smooth, confident acceleration at any speed.
It’s a genuinely wonderful motor and didn’t have us missing the V8 for a second. It’s expertly tuned and feels very capable no matter the task. See this motor in action on a YouTube review here.
Whether merging onto the freeway or towing a boat for a weekend getaway, the QX80 feels composed, strong and utterly refined. The twin-turbo V6 pairs beautifully with the 9-speed automatic transmission, providing the kind of quiet, seamless power delivery expected in a true luxury vehicle.

A 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio stereo sounds like a private concert
Audiophiles, rejoice! The 2025 QX80 Autograph offers an incredible 24-speaker Klipsch sound system that ranks among the best stereos in the industry. The clarity, richness and depth of the sound are downright extraordinary in this SUV.
Whether you’re listening to a podcast or blasting Radio Disney on your way to drop off the carpool, the QX80’s stereo provides a downright immersive experience. Sound quality has become a major luxury marker, and Infiniti absolutely delivers with its Klipsch system.

Cloudlike ride quality
Luxury isn’t just about what you see and touch; it’s also about how a car makes you feel. The new QX80 features an incredible combination of electronic air suspension and dynamic digital suspension technologies, which come together for truly exceptional ride quality. This predictive suspension reads the road ahead and adjusts in real time to maximize comfort.
Potholes, bumps and uneven surfaces are softened to the point of near invisibility, even with the rig’s 22-inch wheels. Passengers feel as if they’re gliding, even on less-than-perfect roads. When family haulers offer this level of refinement, you know luxury standards have been raised.

First-class seating for all three rows
In many SUVs, the third row is where comfort goes to die. Not in the QX80. Heated and ventilated second-row seats, heated third-row seats, optional captain’s chairs, as well as heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, demonstrate that Infiniti understands modern families expect luxury for everyone, not just those in the front. USB-C charging, individual climate zones and many other features make the QX80 a true first-class cabin, no matter where you sit.
