How Boosts work

Boosting your listing automatically renews it, moving it to the top of the Search Results page and giving it a fresh date. From there, it works its way down the Search Results page as usual. 

This lets your listing jump to the front of the line and gives it an instant increase in visibility. The best part? You get to keep all the views and favorites your listing has already gathered. It’s the quickest way to get more eyeballs on your ad without creating a new one.

How to boost a listing

Boosting your listing is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Start your listing: Begin by posting your item as usual. You know the drill — fill in the details, upload those great photos, and get ready to sell.

2. Schedule your Boost: As you’re wrapping up the listing process, you’ll see a prompt asking if you want to schedule a Boost. This is your chance to give your listing a turbocharge! Click “Yes” to opt in.

3. Pick your dates: After you click “Yes,” you’ll be directed to our handy date picker. Select the dates when you want your listing to get that extra visibility. You can choose multiple days or just one, whatever works best for you.

4. Check out: Before your listing goes live, you’ll need to complete the checkout process. Don’t worry, we’ve made it super easy! You can pay using Apple Pay or your trusty credit card. Just a few clicks, and you’re all set.

And that’s it! With these simple steps, you’ll boost your listing and reach more potential buyers in no time.

If you have an existing listing that you want to boost, no problem! Just click “Manage” and then “Edit” on your listing in My Listings, and you can easily add Boosts.

What’s the difference between Boosts and Featured Listings?

We also offer Featured Listings, so let’s break down the difference between boosting and featuring your ad.

• Boost: Updates the listing date to the boost date and moves your listing to the top of the Search Results page. It’s a simple way to keep your ad fresh and visible without losing any engagement.

• Featured Listing: Keeps your listing at the top of the SRP for the days you select, but doesn’t change the listing date. After the featured period ends, the listing goes back to its original spot and retains the original date. This is great for keeping your ad at the top for a set period.

Which option is right for you?

The best option will depend on what you need.

• Boost: Perfect if you want a quick, easy way to refresh your listing and get instant visibility. Ideal for those urgent sales or when your ad needs a little extra push.

• Featured Listing: Best if you want to keep your listing consistently visible over a set period without changing the listing date. Great for steady, ongoing visibility.
