2023 Cache Valley Cruise-In: Not just a car show

Looking for a fun family activity this summer? The Cache Valley Cruise-In has been a highlight around the Fourth of July in Logan, Utah, for over four decades — ever since the first one in 1982. Hundreds of collector cars and thousands of spectators converge in the valley for the multiday celebration. This year’s festivities kick off on Thursday, June 29, and run through Saturday, July 1.

Event details

The Cruise-In is held on the Cache County Fairgrounds at 450 South 500 West in Logan. Spectator admission for the car show is $10 for ages 18 and older. To show your vehicle, register online through Thursday, June 15, for a $30 fee. Walk-in registration will be offered at the event for $40. Find a vintage Ford

While the car show is a main event, Cruise-In is way more than just automotive eye candy. It also includes a swap meet, food and drink vendors and an awards program. 

Other highlights include a poker run on Thursday, a cruise to Bear Lake on Friday, a sock hop on Friday night and a cruising parade on Saturday night. A full schedule of the Cruise-In is available on the CVCA’s website.

Win a vehicle

One of the most compelling reasons to attend the Cruise-In is the chance to win a car. This year’s door prize is a custom-built 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 two-door hardtop. This second-generation Camaro muscle car is finished in silver with black accent stripes and is powered by a 400 cid small-block V8 connected to a 4-speed TH400 automatic transmission. “This car is a real head-turner, and anyone would be excited to own and drive this car,” according to the CVCA. Every car show admission ticket comes with an entry for the Camaro giveaway. You can buy as many admission tickets as you like to increase your chances of winning! The drawing for the car will take place in the rodeo arena at 6 p.m., just before Saturday’s parade.

“Sounds” good!

A signature event of each Cruise-In week is a concert, and this year’s entertainment will be provided by none other than The Beach Boys. Formed in Hawthorne, California, in 1961, The Beach Boys have been charming audiences for over 60 years with classic hits such as “Good Vibrations.”

The concert takes place on Thursday, June 29. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $37.45 to $85.60, which also covers admission to Thursday’s car show.
