It’s the happiest time of the year. No, we’re not talking about Christmas — we’re talking about cars. January 12-15, 2024, the Utah International Auto Expo returns to the Mountain America Exposition Center in Sandy. If you’re thinking about a new car or just want to see all the latest models, you won’t want to miss it. Attend and you’ll be able to see, touch and sit in sports cars, luxury cars and electric vehicles, as well as trucks, SUVs and family haulers.
DeeDee Taft, an event organizer, said attendees can sit behind the wheel, take a closer look at the engine, and experience what the new technologies are like. You can even take one for a test drive, she said.

Pressure-free environment
Want to explore your next ride without the high-pressure sales environment that sometimes accompanies car buying? The 2024 Utah International Auto Expo is your ticket. Housed inside the massive Mountain America Exposition Center, you can check out cars without anyone trying to make a deal.
In fact, the manufacturer product specialists attending are there to educate only, not to sell. So feel free to ask questions; now is your time to learn. Taft said, “It’s a great place to learn how other types of cars — like hybrids and electric vehicles — work and could fit your lifestyle.”

Family friendly
The Auto Expo is meant to be fun for the whole family, Taft said. And if looking at cars is not really your kid’s thing? Not to fear. There will be driving simulators, activities and other cool things they may enjoy. Heck, Subaru will even be having a pet adoption. Just think of it, you could leave the auto show not with a car, but with a new puppy!

All the latest and greatest
Last year’s event had more than 350 vehicles on display, and it was a great opportunity to check out a lot of cars not yet available on Utah auto lots. Today’s cars are safer, faster, more efficient and just overall better than ever before. In other words, if you’re still driving your 1998 Toyota Corolla, you should probably attend — this show might blow your mind.
