HURRICANE – For the 39th year, Hurricane, Utah, will be a springtime hotspot of cars and culture. Up to 10,000 spectators are expected to visit Hurricane’s Community Center on Saturday, March 30, to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of one of the region’s favorite annual automotive traditions: the Easter Car Show. It's open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Car show for a cause

The Hurricane Valley Rotary Club has taken the show to new heights in recent years, in part by focusing on community causes. A portion of the show’s spectator and registration fees are donated to charitable initiatives each year. Wade Beatty, event administrator, said he is excited to continue the momentum.

Most recently, the car show helped fund the All-Abilities Playground at Dixie Springs Park in Hurricane. Opened to the public in June of 2023, the area is geared toward children with special needs. It includes wheelchair access, sensory playground equipment and padded sidewalks.

Beatty said, “We have another amazing year planned. This year, much of the funds raised will be donated to the establishment of a local, beautiful veteran’s park that is being installed this year.”
