2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, P71, 83K miles, only TWO OWNERS
*****UPDATE: Black Betty won't be available for sale for about a week starting Oct 14th because she has been rented out for a movie in Park City. She's still for sale, in fact I haven't let anyone take a test drive yet. Many people have called, but I'm not interested to giving free cop car test rides to young guys with no intention of buying. You suitors can still call, just note that Black Betty is out on a date for a while!****
Here’s a unique opportunity to pick up “Black Betty”, my superb condition 2011 Crown Vic P71 with very low miles and all needed servicing done, only $4100, cash only. This car belonged to Ventura County Sheriffs before I bought her a year ago, where she was fleet serviced regularly, and driven sparingly, which accounts for it only having 83281 miles, no serious body damage and a clean interior with no major tears in the upholstery. Oil is fresh, it passed emissions in March. Low wear is what you want in a cop Crown Vic, and this unit has it plus lots of extras. Black Betty comes with an Android 7” touchscreen radio with GPS, phone sync, Wifi, and backup camera, also included is the original ford cop car radio if you want it. She also has a center console switchboard that works all her strobe safety lights, power and electricals, with locking gun safe under the armrest, plus a set of new floormats. She has a bit of leftover sheriffs paperwork in her -- evidence bags, envelopes, stickers an old police registration etc. I'm leaving them in for atmosphere. Betty has the full slide out trunk tray holding the spare, and two police forensic boxes present.
As noted, she's a 2011, the last year Crown Vics were made. I’ve owned many Crown Vics from 2002 to 2011 and if you want them to last, you should get the latest models possible. Here are the pro's and cons:
Pros –
• If you know about these P71’s you know that they are legendary for their ruggedness, speed, comfort, imperviousness to abuse, and gas mileage. Yes, it’s true, they’ll go 500,000 miles easily with consistent care, 140 mph thanks to their 4.6 liter V8’s (with proper tires) and they still get 25 mpg on the highway.
• They have a beefed up suspension, drive train, alternator, fuel and water pumps compared to the civilian models. And they put out about 35 more hp than the granpa vics.
• This car has a FULL strobe, mirror beam, rear deck flashing light package that is connected and wired to switches in the center console. They all work, as do all the power goodies on the center console. The CB radio works but is not tuned nor connected to a working antenna (mic is in the gun safe, really it’s just for show right now. The police lights that formerly flashed red/blue have been changed to legal amber/white. There is a locking gun safe under the armrest.
• Crown Vics were among the safest cars on the road thanks to a study body-on-frame construction. You don’t need to worry about safety when sending your kid off to college in one of these bad boys.
• They’re BIG. Will hold five adults and it shouldn’t surprise you that Black Betty has a HUGE trunk. It will hold at least two bodies.
• And here’s the best part… they were made virtually unchanged from 1998 to 2011 in the hundreds of thousands, meaning that spare parts are everywhere and they are cheap! They make for superb freeway cruisers, commuting to and from work or school on I-15. The are always on all the car guru's best, safest lowed priced cars lists (see scotty kilmer's many videos, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdYFx8dGm-4)
• This P71 comes with TWO sets of tires, it currently has its snow tires mounted to it because I never took them off after last winter knowing I wouldn’t be driving this car much this year. (I have two others.) But Betty’s second set of unmounted street summer tires are included with the deal!
• What I’ve done to it - Transmission was serviced at 79K, I removed rear prisoner seat, installed rear vinyl seats, tires rotated and balanced, I installed Android 7” radio and backup camera, reconnected all strobe lights and installed center console switches. I installed new clear headlights and replaced one window motor. That's it.
Cons –
• Ford used lousy primer on all these P71’s, meaning that they almost always peel paint if they are white or black. As you can see, this car is black and the paint isn’t showroom quality. Black never looks great IMO, but it has had its peeling spots fixed and it looks okay for a black car (which get dirty fast). Not showroom good, you probably can’t tell the spots that have been fixed in the pictures, but you will spot them when scrutinizing the paint up close. No matter, it is daily driver good. Wax it once a year and you’ll keep the paint peel at bay. All P71’s have paint issues, so get used to touching upo areas with a rattle can and touch up paint every so often.
• You will often be mistaken for a cop when people see you in their rear view mirrors. This is GREAT on the freeway as they move out of your way, not so good on single lane highways where they slow down to legal speeds.
• Vics are only RWD so some studded snow tires and a couple of bags of sand in the trunk make winter driving much nicer. As I said, this one comes with TWO sets of tires.
• Like the Leadbelly/Ram Jam song, Black Betty is “rocksteady and always ready” but she gets HOT in the summer. Her A/C works great, but you’ll need reflective window shades for the summer.
• TPMS dash light is on, this is part of the Tire Pressure Monitoring system, which is so totally useless on these Cop cars that no one I know bothers to change the batteries in the wheels (at $70 a pop). The light comes on, whenever your: tire pressure is low, or when it isn't but the batteries have died after about 8 years, or whenever you change or rims to different wheels. In other words, useless. It currently has electrical tape over the dash light and I know that the pressure is fine, but one or more wheel batteries have died. You can replace them if you want to, I never do on my own cars..
I’ve already done my homework, this car is priced to sell. It’s about the lowest mileage Crown Vic on KSL right now, but it’s not the most expensive. You can get a high mileage Vic for 2K with issues, just look around, but if you want a keeper with under 100K miles and no major flaws -- especially a late model car, expect to pay about 4k.
Go ahead, look at all the others, but the first one with serious cash will take this one out from under you. CASH ONLY. I might take money orders or cashier’s checks drawn on Zions or America First or other such big local bank but NO out of state scammers with their fake cashier’s checks will be tolerated. ABSOLUTELY NO UVR REPORT SCAMMERS!
Call or text Mark at 385-200-4921, text is best for initial inquiries so I can suss out if you are a real buyer or a scammer.

This car has been great for my wife and I! We are selling because we no longer need two cars now that school has shifted online. The only things wrong with the car is that the steering wheel airbag doesn't work and the battery will need to be replaced soon. I'm flexible on the price, please reach out with any questions.

I’m selling this car for my wife’s parents. Peeling paint unfortunately is common for the older Crown Vic. The engine is sound and this car runs good for age and mileage. If you need affordable reliable transportation that fits up to 6 passengers this car will work for you.

Barn Find, Excellent condition for it's age, runs strong, smooth freeway car, interior is in great shape. A few minor issues from what I have found. One door needs a power window motor, minor inside trim issues, clear coat on paint is pealing, vinyl top is starting to crack, new tires were put on car, mileage only shows 20852 but it's very likely that it is a roll over from 99000. Car is solid, starts every time (at least thus far) no tears in the upholstery, dash has developed a crack, chrome trim ring on passenger side rear has a small amount of damage, body is straight with no dents, very clean car. Smog exempt. If interested please text to 916-952-9999 or email to rj-gs@comcast.net. Texts will be responded to in order received after I get off work.

1992 Crown Vic only 110,000 miles
2 owners me and my brother in laws family who I purchased it from.
Needs no immediate work done to any mechanical or engine parts or function that I know of other than the battery.
The battery worked fine until I left the glove box open for a week that has a light in it. Now it won’t hold a charge.
GREAT 1st car or back up car!
Great work car!
Great Teen car!
Great car for someone who isn’t knowledgeable on cars!
You will need to bring your own top post battery for the car if you buy it unless you have another way to take it to your house!

She's rough around the edges, but runs faster than your wife when she sees you pull up in it.
Yes it is the police interceptor package.
129k original miles and runs great, has some paint issues. Tire pressure light is on, they just need to be filled. Tires are good, and she doesn't leak a drop of oil!
No check engine lights!
Airbag light is on because the previous owner put grand marquis seats in it, but the airbags still work. (Most comfortable seats you will ever sit in)
Has a Bluetooth stereo installed, that's a bonus! If you are looking for something cheap that will easily go 300,000 miles if maintained then you've come to the right place.
I had the vehicle inspected and they said everything looks great, just needs an air filter (I have it just haven't installed it)
$2500 or best offer, I'm not in a rush to sell because I'm daily driving this.

**Low miles** This car was previously owned by my elderly Mother. She gifted it to me when she moved out of state a month ago, but I simply don’t need it. It’s been well-cared for and in excellent condition. Selling as is for $3000 or best offer!!
**Available to show car on Saturdays or Sundays. Please text if interested.

Great car when it was running, selling as a parts or fixer upper. It has (As far as I can tell) a grounding issue or a bad ecm causing the ecm fuse to blow after a minute or two of running. Even with 60A in a 25A socket, it burns them up like its nothing.
Obviously the car will be cleaned out before selling, and all 4 tires hold air, the one is currently flat from being strapped tightly to the trailer it temporarily is on, but should hold air once removed from the trailer and straps. I can deliver it within an hour or so drive of ephraim(up to $50 extra for fuel if not on my way to work in Nephi, but the extra is only for any fuel I wouldn't otherwise be using, so if you closer then yay for it being cheaper!), and will be taking cash only. Thank you for looking!
