2008 Mini Cooper S (Turbocharged) – Mechanic’s Special – $1,600 OBO

Selling my 2008 Mini Cooper S. cylinder 2 has 0 compression due to a cracked exhaust-side valve, so it misfires and needs engine work. So it does not start anymore. Selling as-is.

Compression:

1: 150 psi • 2: 0 psi • 3: 145 psi • 4: 155 psi

Recent work:

• Timing chain job done by previous owner (Mini mechanic) – receipts included

• New OEM thermostat housing (~4 months ago)

• New spark plugs

• New valve cover

• Passed emissions Aug 2025

• Clutch feels good

Issues:

• Oil leak from oil filter housing gasket (common, inexpensive gasket)

• One tire has slow leak, and is currently flat, but it will hold air for a few days once full.

• Clear coat peeling in spots
